Why We Worship Through Giving

At The Vine Church, we believe that worship is more than just singing songs—it’s a lifestyle of surrender, trust, and generosity. One way we actively worship is through giving.

Biblical Foundations for Giving

God calls us to give sacrificially, generously, and joyfully, recognizing that all we have comes from Him (James 1:17). When we give, we participate in His mission, stewarding His resources for His glory.

  • We Give Sacrificially“I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.” (2 Samuel 24:24) Giving is an act of faith, prioritizing God’s kingdom over our personal comfort.
  • We Give Generously“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6) We are not called to store up treasures for ourselves but to invest in eternity.
  • We Give Joyfully“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7) Giving is not a burden; it’s a privilege to support the work of the gospel.

A Conduit, Not a Storehouse

Jesus teaches that we are stewards, not owners. The Vine Church does not seek to accumulate wealth but to use resources for the spread of the gospel. As Paul reminds us, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

Joining the Mission

We have a big vision to see lives transformed by the gospel, and that vision is made possible through the generosity of faithful givers. Every gift fuels the mission—supporting church planting, discipleship, outreach, and community impact.
